51 Girls compete in the Pre-Season Jingle

The 10th annual Jingle in the Jungle was a huge success in Northville this weekend. The event utilized the new USA bracketing system along with the new High School scoring rules which made for some really fun wrestling.  

Most notable, over 50 girls participated highlighted by large groups from Whitmore Lake and New Boston wrestling club!  

Speaking of the girls:

  • Adalie Garza-Andrews from Ramchargers earned 4 pins/techs in under 5 total minutes!!
  • Aubreee Parker from Alpa Elite earned the same is just over 5 minutes!!!

The event was fun, very competitive and even saw a special guest stop in to see some wrestling with Santa and his helper elf coming out.

Michigan-USA Wrestling strives to provide positive life experiences for the youth of Michigan while promoting growth and advancement in the sport of wrestling at all levels and styles.  It is our intention to recruit, retain and develop any youth that wishes to participate in the sport of wrestling.  As a state organization we will continue to offer vast opportunities for beginning athletes to become interested in wrestling, intermediate athletes to improve, and for advanced athletes to gain national recognition.  Although we provide services to all levels of wrestlers, it is our top priority to instill the principles, established by USA Wrestling, of responsibility, integrity, dedication, honesty, accountability, and respect in every member of Michigan-USA Wrestling.
